COMMUNITY CONNECTION TO SUPPORT PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS AFECTED BY COVID-19

 

On September 27, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was happy to connect the sponsors and succefully gave 86 supporting packages from the Social Sharing Fund for 48 families of students with hearing loss and 38  people with hearing loss in difficult situations, affected by Covid-19, with the total amount of 172.000.000 VND (One hundred seventy-two million VND). Each supporting package was 2.000.000 VND (Two million VND) and in details as following:

 

- Supporting 20 families of students of the special school Anh Duong, District 12, with the total amount of 40.000.000 VND (Forty million VND);

 

- Supporting 07 families of students of the Hope special school in District 8, with the total amount of 14.000.000 VND (Fourteen million VND);

 

- Supporting 02 families of students of Ms. Le Huynh Ngoc Han, the teacher of the special school 15/5, member of the coordinating group of the network for Supporting People with Hearing Loss, with the total amount of 4.000.000 VND (Fourteen million VND);

 

- Supporting 38 Deaf people in the Khanh Hoi Evangelical Church (District 4), Light Source Evangelical Church (Go Vap District) and the deaf community living in HCMC with the total amount of 76.000.000 VND (Seventy-six million).

 

On behalf of the students and communities of people with hearing loss, CED would like to express our gratitude for the generosity of Social Sharing Fund of Dragon Capital Company for sponsoring this program.
