COMMUNITY ACTIVITY

On March 20, 2023, Ms. To Thi Bich Phuong – Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) attended the webinar on “Special education for Vietnamese pupils/students at Centers for Continuing Education, Centers for Vocational Education-Continuing Education and special education institutions” at the invitation of the Nisai Education Trust.

The workshop was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the British Embassy in Vietnam and Nisai Education Trust from the Pilot Project of Special Education Cooperation between Nisai Group (UK) and the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh province.

At the seminar, the delegates listened to speeches from Vietnamese and British representatives such as Deputy Minister of Education, Mr. Nguyen Huu Do and British Ambassador in Vietnam, Mr. Iain Frew, and presentations on special education models at some educational institutions and communities; model of information technology application in special education; and model of training of teachers and caregivers of students with disabilities. Especially, participants learned about “The Ventures Trust's method in Bristol, UK in accessing and linking K-12 schools and special education schools to serve the community"

CED wishes the project to be successfully implemented in 62 provinces and cities of Vietnam.
