CONNECTING VOLUNTEER TO TEACH GAME PROGRAMMING FOR STUDENTS WITH HEARING LOSS

On October 10, 2024, Mrs. Duong Phuong Hanh, Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), had a consultation with two representatives from the American Study - U.S. Study Abroad Consulting Center about connecting a 12th-grade student to CED to volunteer in sharing and teaching game programming skills for students with hearing loss.

The two sides agreed to carry out the following activities:

  • CED will guide the volunteer student on how to communicate with students with hearing loss.
  • CED will allow the volunteer to observe some lessons in STEM classes.
  • The volunteer will organize a session to share basic game programming skills for students with hearing loss.

It is hoped that with the necessary information and specific guidance, the volunteer will be able to effectively plan and carry out the activities as expected.
