EVALUATION OF ENGLISH TEACHING PROGRAM BY ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDENTS, SAIGON UNIVERSITY
Recently, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) together with a lecturer and five students majoring in English Education, Saigon University had an evaluation session of the university-level scientific research project "Application of PowerPoint in teaching English to students with hearing loss".
The two sides shared about the advantages/difficulties as well as the implementation results. Importantly, the dedication, responsibility, and professionalism of the student group made the program a success.
According to Ms. Hanh, people with hearing loss including deaf and hard of hearing people, have the need to study, research; participate in higher education; and take English certification exams, so learning English appropriately and effectively is a very necessary need, not just for fun or knowledge. Therefore, if the group of students continues to research towards the goal of "How to approach English for people with hearing loss" and share the results with inclusive schools and foreign language centers, it will be extremely useful.
