INTERNSHIP ASSESSMENT FOR SOCIAL WORK STUDENTS OF TON DUC THANG UNIVERSITY

On July 25, 2023, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed Mr. Le Anh Vu, a visiting lecturer in Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ton Duc Thang University and 6 interns participated in the professional practice at CED.

At the meeting, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center commented on the reports of students' practical results as well as shared about the role of social workers at CED as follows:

- Explaining the concepts of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT). The link between understanding your organization's SWOT and your own.

- The role of the social worker is to find answers to the question of why the client's problems exist and how to get the answer.

- The term "expert". To become a professional social worker, in addition to expertise, it is necessary to cultivate the following characteristics: Respect, Love, Sincerity.

With the Mission of supporting the integration of people with hearing loss, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) is always willing to cooperate with the Open University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang University and other universities to receive students for practicing social work with people with hearing loss in particular and practicing in the field of Hearing Loss in general.
