EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION: THE JOURNEY TO HAPPINESS

Happiness is not found somewhere far away, but is present right in our radiant smiles, the act of sharing, and the moments we create memories together. On March 20, 2026, the atmosphere at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) became more vibrant than ever with an extracurricular event celebrating the International Day of Happiness. The program was organized and hosted by 4th-year Educational Psychology students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE).

This journey of spreading joy led the students through "stations" filled with laughter and creativity:

Station 1: The Balloon Rhythm

Kicking off with a bustling atmosphere, the students teamed up for a balloon-carrying relay race. Their skillful steps and seamless, hands-free coordination helped dispel all initial distance and shyness. Every balloon safely brought to the finish line was a testament to their team spirit and the joy of perfect collaboration alongside their companions.

Station 2: Time Travel

The fairy tale world of "Son Tinh - Thuy Tinh" (The God of the Mountain and the God of the Water) was recreated in a humorous and refreshing way through the children's innocence. They were not merely the audiences but directly transformed into King Hung, Princess Mi Nuong, Son Tinh, Thuy Tinh, and other characters, using handmade props like crowns and paper fans. Their natural stage improvisation and vivid expressions brought hearty bursts of laughter to the entire classroom.

Station 3: Lost in Translation

The final activity, "Lost in Translation," was a challenge of mutual understanding. Through gestures and body language instead of words, they worked together to convey meaningful messages related to March 20th keywords such as "giving gifts," "family," "love," and "happiness." Despite some hilarious mix-ups, the bond connecting the children ultimately grew even stronger.

The extracurricular session concluded with emotional commemorative photos. We hope that the lingering echoes of these games and shared moments will help the students realize that: "Happiness is connection; it is when we know how to cherish one another and create kindness together."

Let's look back at our lovely moments through the pictures below!
