EXTRA-CURRICULAR SESSION – MAKING ROSES
On February 24, 2023, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had an extra-curricular session "Making roses" for students.
Objectives of the session:
- Equipping students with meticulous working skills as well as stimulating "dexterity" for those who have a passion for beauty, especially in the craft of handmade goods, to earn more income in the future.
- Preparing for the upcoming International Women's Day 8/3, so that students could make flowers for their mothers to show their gratitude.
During the extra-curricular session, students:
- Watched the instruction video.
- The teacher introduced the necessary materials and wrote on the board to expand their vocabulary such as: colored crepe paper, thread, scissors, wire, bamboo toothpick, wax tape, double-sided tape, glue gun and silicone.
- Practice: Under the teacher’s guidance, the students measured the length of each paper and cut them.
At the end of the extracurricular session, the students were able to make for themselves two petals and a flower core.
Everything is possible.
