DRAWING SESSION: COLLAGE PAINTINGS WITH HUMAN OR PLANT THEMES AND MY BOX

On July 16, 2024, at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), students learned a very new and interesting drawing session.

The topic in STEM drawing was "Collage paintings with human or plant themes", the teacher guided students through the steps:

  • Divide the class into 3 groups, each group included  3 to 4 students.
  • Look at artist Henri Matisse's famous collages of human or plant themes.
  • Choose color papers that the group likes
  • Sketche the image each group wanted to collage
  • Proceed to collage, decorate and complete their work

The theme of drawing in Primary Class was "My box", the teacher instructed them:

  • Arrange cardboard into a box.
  • Cut out their favorite images or draw directly on the box
  • Use color wax or other tools such as: wool, color paper to decorate and complete the product

Thereby, students could be creative and complete their favorite box.

Drawing is one of the subjects in the official timetable of students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), to help them develop the hidden qualities of children with hearing loss, towards the inclusive path in the future.
