ART CLASS: PAPER TEARING AND PASTING – THE LANGUAGE OF HANDS
On May 12, 2026, the STEM students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an Art class themed "Paper Tearing and Pasting – The Language of Hands."
Under the dedicated guidance of their teacher, the students experienced a meticulous creative process firsthand:
• Step 1: Observing and sketching familiar hand shapes making signs on A4 paper with pencils.
• Step 2: Selecting their favorite colors, carefully tearing pieces of newspaper and colored paper, and pasting them onto the sketches according to their own imagination and creativity.
By the end of the session, unique and highly personalized masterpieces were successfully completed.
Through the theme "Paper Tearing and Pasting – The Language of Hands," the students not only practiced their observational skills, dexterity, patience, and creativity, but they also realized that our hands are not just meant for working and studying. Those very hands can also "speak" and express countless emotions, from love and joy to sharing and mutual understanding.
