SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION - LEARNING GROUP 3rd MEETING

 

On September 11, 2021, CED organized the third meeting in the series of 6 follow-up meetings after the “Sign Language Interpreter Training” course, in order to continue supporting participants in knowledge exchange, skill practicing and experience sharing. At this meeting in September, there were 19 participants from the last training in June, who are teachers in special schools, parents and students from Hanoi, Dong Nai, Nha Trang, An Giang, Dong Thap, Dak Lak, HCMC…

 

At the first part of the meeting, questions of participants were raised for the whole class to answer and share their experiences. At the second part of the meeting, participants practiced sign language, with the facilitation by Ms Tran Phuong Nhung, an expert in sign language interpreting. Especially, this month meeting had a touching performance by Ms. Phan Thi Sen, playing guitar and singing the “Song of the Interpreters”, made by her own, with the sign language illustration by Mr. Nguyen Van Quang.

 

This is the activity in the framework of the project “Promoting the initial legal support and implementation of regulations on medical examination and treatment for people with hearing loss (deaf, hard of hearing and deafened)” of CED, sponsored by EU through JIFF-Oxfam.
