WORKSHOP “EMPOWERING ROLES OF SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS FOR PROMOTING CHILDREN’S RIGHTS IMPLEMENTATION”
On October 15, 2020, CED was invited by the Ho Chi Minh city’s Children Rights Association to the workshop “Empowering roles of social organizations for promoting children’s rights implementation.”
The workshop was a chance for experts, social organizations, foreign and local institutions implementing children’s rights to discuss and sharing experiences in order to enhance the quality of child care service and supporting poor children and children in special situations in time.
At the workshop, CED contributed 2 ideas:
- Increasing the application of IT and Technology in Protection of Children’s Rights.
- Shifting from the tendency of direct providing to protecting children’s rights (vocational orientation, education, increasing income, children rights for sustainability in enterprises, instead of providing food, goods).
At the workshop, participants suggested many solutions for enhancing roles and activities of social organization in promoting children’s right implementation. Many participants thought that, in order to best protect our children, everyone, every family, especially every child themselves, needs to equip with many skills, knowledge and awareness about children’s rights.
Hội thảo là dịp để các chuyên gia, tổ chức xã hội, cơ quan chức năng trong và ngoài nước thực hiện quyền của trẻ em cùng thảo luận, chia sẻ kinh nghiệm nhằm nâng cao chất lượng dịch vụ chăm sóc trẻ, tạo điều kiện để trẻ em nghèo và trẻ em có hoàn cảnh đặc biệt nhận được sự hỗ trợ, giúp đỡ kịp thời.
Trong đó, Trung tâm CED đóng góp 02 nội dung:
- Tăng cường áp dụng công nghệ thông tin, kỹ thuật vào công tác BVQTE
- Chuyển đổi từ xu hướng cung cấp trực tiếp sang hoạt động BVQTE (thay vì hỗ trợ thực phẩm, hiện vật thì định hướng nghề nghiệp, cách tăng thu nhập, quyền trẻ em cho DN/ đơn vị mang tính bền vững).
Tại hội thảo, các đại biểu cũng đã thảo luận, đề xuất nhiều giải pháp nhằm tăng cường các hoạt động, vai trò của các tổ chức xã hội trong việc thúc đẩy thực hiện quyền trẻ em. Nhiều đại biểu dự hội thảo cho rằng, để bảo vệ trẻ được tốt nhất, mỗi người, mỗi gia đình, nhất là chính các trẻ em cần được trang bị nhiều kỹ năng, cần có kiến thức và nhận thức về quyền trẻ em.
