WHEN CHILDREN WITH HEARING LOSS LEARN INFORMATICS
On June 28, 2023, at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), students of the STEM class had an Informatics session with the end-of-June test.
The test consisted of 2 parts: Theory and Practice with a duration of 45 minutes, the focus was on the basic knowledge and operations of General Informatics that they had learned.
During the test period, from receiving questions, doing theoretical exercises on paper and practicing on machines, the students were very focused and serious.
The test not only helped them review what they had learned but also helped the teacher assess the student's acquisition level to promptly supplement and adjust in the following lessons.
Introducing Informatics subject into the regular schedule of the STEM class is part of the Education – Vocational Orientation - Inclusion plan of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), ensuring students' access to digital technology education, having more options for future careers, and at the same time affirming the correctness of CED's motto: "Everything is possible".
