TRAINING PROGRAM: THE COURSE 78 OF SKILLS IN COMMUNICATION WITH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS (SESSION 4)

On June 28, 2026, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) held the fourth session of the “Skills in communication with people with hearing loss” course 78, led by Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh, the Center's Director. The class comprised 29 participants, including 17 professionals from fields such as education, healthcare, marketing, business, and tourism, along with 12 students.

In the fourth session, the participants studied vocabulary and sentence structures in sign language related to the theme of School, including:

● Levels of education

● School and classroom members

● Introducing school subjects

● Introducing school supplies and learning materials

By the end of the class, everyone was enthusiastic about learning to sign an excerpt from 'Đi học' (Going to School) by poet Minh Chinh, a widely known poem among generations of students in Vietnam.

Sign language is one of two themes in the training program on Skills in Communication with People with Hearing Loss (Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Late Deafened). The second theme is lipsreading.
