ACTIVITY REPORT - APRIL 2023
Part 1: CED activities
- On April 9, 16, 23, 2023, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) trained Sign Language - Basic Level for 47 participants of the 72nd Class of skills for communication with people with hearing loss.

- On April 12, 2023, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) and teachers had a meeting with the project coordinator of the Australia Social Impact Foundation (ASIF Foundation).
- On April 17, 2023, representatives of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) attended the Workshop "Smart city without barriers for people with disabilities" co-organized by MSD organization.
- On April 24, 2023, Ms. To Thi Bich Phuong - Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed Mr. Yosuke Ishikawa from The Nippon Foundation and the interpreter Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung.

- CED received:
+ 01 student enrolls in the inclusive class.
+ 01 student enrolls in the STEM class.
- CED provided 02 legal consultations and legal aid to 02 people with hearing loss (Deaf/Hard of hearing), specifically as follows:
1. Supported Tan Binh District Court in interpreting sign language for 01 person with hearing loss during civil proceedings.
2. Advising 01 person with hearing loss on the documents and process of applying for a certificate of disability.
Part 2: CED’s Hearing Aid Fund Report
In April 2023, CED’s Hearing Aid Fund granted 22 hearing aids for 15 children with hearing loss of the Khoai Chau School of Rehabilitation and Vocational Training for People with Disabilities (Hung Yen). On behalf of the children and their families, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) would like to express our sincere gratitude to German Lions Foundation for granting the hearing aids and Quang Duc Hearing Aid Service Company for supporting.
CED continues to note of wishes on joining the hearing aids granting program for children with hearing loss in poor families. Parents who have children with hearing loss under 18 years old and want to register for hearing aids, please register at this link:

We would kindly ask family whose children get approved for granting hearing aids to contribute 100.000 VND/hearing aid to the Hearing Aid Fund for children with hearing loss in poor families.

Part 3: Peer Consultation/Counseling
In April, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) conducted 65 consultation/counseling cases on inclusive education for children/people with hearing loss, sign language interpreting at the court, counseling on spoken language development for children with hearing loss, skills for communication with people with hearing loss, legal aids for people with hearing loss, job recommendation and connecting, cooperating activities with other organisations.
