SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH HEARING LOSS IN DEVELOPING COMMUNICATION SKILLS
On January 4, 2023, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had an online consultation session for students with hearing loss studying at the University of Economics and Finance HCMC (UEF) in developing communication and integration skills in University environment.
During the counseling session, Ms. Hanh shared and guided students with hearing loss as following:
1. Guide for improving pronunciation with support from teachers at CED.
2. Encouraging the cultivation of rich vocabulary and good sentences in communication.
3. Actively interact positively with members of the study group at the school.
4. CED supports sharing to group members about communication skills with people with hearing loss.
In addition, Ms. Hanh and teachers encouraged students with hearing loss to always make efforts and persevere in regular practice to soon achieve the expected results.
