STEM: DESIGNING A MODEL OF THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEM IN HUMANS

On March 20, 2025, STEM students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a lesson on "Designing a model of the human respiratory system".
The session included the following steps:

- Step 1: Learning about the structure and operation of the respiratory system in humans.

- Step 2: Designing a model of the human respiratory system using simple, easy-to-find materials (plastic straws: trachea and bronchi, small pink bubbles: two lungs, larger bubbles: diaphragm) and operate the model to observe gas exchange).

- Step 3: Representatives of the groups share about their team's model.
The STEM session "Designing a model of the respiratory system in humans" not only helps students retest the theory they have learned, develop latent qualities (meticulous, focused), practice sensitive observation skills, solve problems while ensuring equality in access to education for students with hearing loss.
