The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED)

 

On Sep 9th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) was invited by Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Park to attend program “Kindness Festival”. This event will be organized on November 30th, 2019 to memorize the International Day for People with Disabilities of Dec 3rd, 2019.

 

On Sep 10th, 2011, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director met with representatives of Tan Hong Tourist Company to discuss about opening a Sign Language Class dedicated for Company tour guides.

 

From Sep 13th-15th, 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director was invited by Traditional Medicine Institute of Ho Chi Minh City to give training of “Skills in Supporting People with Hearing Loss at Hospitals” to 18 doctors, nursing leaders, social workers, pharmacists of the institute.

 

On Sep 17th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) supported Center for Social Innovation and Startup with information of Imap in relation with enterprises influencing society.

 

On Sep 22nd, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) opened the Basic Sign Language Class of Course 65. There are 33 students who are teachers, students, staff in business, medical,…

 

On Sep 24th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) has developed a training program of “Supportive Skills for Hearing Lost People at Hospitals” dedicated for social workers, medical workers as recommended by Hospital of Medical University, Tropical Disease Hospital and some other hospitals…

 

On Sep 24th, 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director was invited for contribution on the consultancy workshop of the Law on Disability organized by the Office of National Committee on Disability

 

On Sep 26th 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director has discussed with the representative of Huou Sao Kindergarten in District 7 about cooperation for developing an educational program for children with hearing loss.

 

On Sep 26th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) has provided IDEA with its activities news to develop a Newsletter on activities of organizations of people with disabilities.

 

On Sep 26th, 2019 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) worked with UPSHIFT program on project VOICE4GREEN that was selected on Round 12 of the most outstanding proposals. VOICE4GREEN is a project collecting wasted or used batteries of hearing aids in order to reduce environment pollution.

 

On Sep 27th, 2019 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) received Request for hearing aid dedicated for children living in Ben Tre province from Worldwide Orphans Foundation (WWO).

 

On Sep 28th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) organized program “Hearing Care”  in order to screen hearing ability for 50 children of Han Bridge Project.

 

On Sep 28th, 2019 The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) helped Happy Feet organization in joint recruitment for excellent teachers of sign language who will be teaching children in Binh Phuoc province.

 

From Sep 28th - 29th, 2019, Ms Duong Phuong Hanh – CED Director supported sign language interpretation for a Deaf Japanese patient under emergency aid at France Vietnam Hospital.

 

Report of  “CED Hearing Aid Fund” :  in Sep 2019 the CED Hearing Aid Fund has donated 2 hearing aids to two children with hearing loss from poor families in An Giang province

2.Dư Ngọc Kim Cương: 1 unit (An Giang)

 

 

On behalf of these children, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) respectfully thanks German Lions Foundation and Hear And Say organizations for their donation and thanks to Quang Duc Hearing Aid Service Company for its installation service.

 

Consultancy/Peer counseling 

In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) had accomplished 62 cases of consultancy / peer counseling for education, introduction to employment, support for application, hearing aid, consultancy for parents with difficulty in teaching children with hearing loss, sign language etc…
