On October 5th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) welcomed 3 representatives of Raitex Vietnam Company to learn about supporting skills and labor safety for the hearing impaired in the working environment.
On October 8th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) supported 8 senior students from Department of Special Education of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education (HCMUE) for internship in CED.
On October 10th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) brought all CED’s students to the HCMC General Science Library to read books.
On October 12th, 2019, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - CED Director was invited by Department of Social Work, Ho Chi Minh City Open University to share about "Start-up" for their senior students.
On October 13th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) presented an excellent proposal Voice4Green in a competition to find the idea of "Climate Action" organized by UNICEF and UPSHIFT. Voice4Green is an idea of a group of 2 young teachers and 3 hearing impaired students of CED to build a process for battery collection and transport (hearing aid batteries and other types of batteries) in such a way as to minimise pollution.
On October 19th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) held the Hearing Care Program: Ears Test, Tympanometry Measurement and Hearing Test for 39 children, teachers and staff of Phat Huy Binh An Center for the Children
On October 22th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) welcomed an American student to learn about the development orientation of CED.
On October 24th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) provided operational information for IDEA’s Newsletter on the activities of organizations of people with disabilities.
On October 25th to 26th, 2019, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - CED Director was invited to join the Blue Swallow Program in Hanoi. CED was selected as Blue Swallow in 2017 for its activities to support the hearing impaired in Vietnam since its establishment.
On October 26th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) in collaboration with International School Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) organized the sport program at ISHCMC campus wirh the participation of 21 CED’s students, 4 CED’s teachers and the students of ISHCMC. The activities took place in the morning included playing volleyball, football, badminton, and basketball, along with Halloween mask decoration activities and the game “Can you feel it?” by touching to identify the objects inside the box. This activity is part of the "Inclusive Career Education" program of CED to help and support students having a good time in experiences on providing equality of opportunity.
On October 27th, 2019, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - CED Director was invited by Department of Special Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Education to teach “Teaching Deaf Children: Techniques and Methods” for students to get the diploma in Special Education (In Service) programme.
On October 28th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) gave an excellent presentation proposing "A drawing to create the future of children with hearing impairment" in the sponsorship initiatives for the community organized by the Beautiful World Project (BW Project). BW Project is a social responsibility project of Ngôi Sao Thời Trang Corporation was established in 2009, BW Project has implemented many practical projects, bringing joy to children in Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam. To celebrate 10 years of operation, BW Project organized a contest to find community initiatives for disadvantaged children by selecting and supporting the best initiatives.
On October 29th, 2019, The Center for Research and Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) was awarded the certificate of being one of 12 social impact businesses in Vietnam. The event was organized by the National Economics University, through the Center for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, along with Trinity Dublin University and the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam at Hanoi National Economics University.
Report of “CED Hearing Aid Fund” : in October, 2019 The CED Hearing Aid Fund has donated 20 hearing aids to 14 childrens with hearing loss from poor families in An Giang province.

Consultancy/Peer counseling
In this month, The Center for Research and Education of The Deaf and Hard Of Hearing (CED) had accomplished 92 cases of consultancy / peer counseling for education, introduction to employment, support for application, hearing aid, consultancy for parents with difficulty in teaching children with hearing loss, sign language etc…
