EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION: PLANTING THE "HAPPINESS TREE" TOGETHER.
On March 14, 2025, elementary students at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) participated in an exciting extracurricular activity with the theme “Happiness Tree”. This activity aimed to help students understand that happiness can come from simple things in life.
During the lesson, the students worked together to “plant” a special “Happiness Tree”. Each leaf on the tree represented a joyful act, such as having a meal with family, helping mom clean the house, spending time with parents, sharing toys with friends, drawing a picture as a gift for a loved one, or simply smiling brightly every day.
The classroom buzzed with energy as the students cut paper, pasted shapes, and shared their stories of joy. By the end of the lesson, a colorful “Happiness Tree” filled with wonderful memories stood proudly in the classroom. The students came to realize that happiness is truly close at hand and that everyone can create it for themselves.
