EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION: LEARN ABOUT VIETNAMESE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS

On July 05, 2024, at the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED), a volunteer student - VMT organized an extracurricular session with the theme "Vietnamese Musical Instruments". Musical instruments are a part of culture and this is a lesson to help students realize the cultural diversity of our country.

Through the extracurricular session, students learned about:

- What is a musical instrument?

- Introducing four traditional Vietnamese musical instruments including: (1) Bamboo flute, (2) Moon Dan, (3) Khen, (4) Cong chieng.

- Identify musical instruments through the elements of shape, name, origin, characteristic sound and applications of musical instruments in life.

In addition to learning about musical instruments through pictures and videos, students also participated in the exciting group game "Tam sao that ban" at the end of the session. They had fun while reviewing vocabulary and pictures related to the introduced musical instrument.
