EXTRACURRICULAR SESSION – ARRANGEMENT OF BELONGINGS AND PERSONAL HYGIENE
On February 17, 2023, the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) had a useful extra-curricular session for students with hearing loss.
The topic of preparatory class included two parts: "Arrangement of Belongings" and "Personal Hygiene". This was a class to equip students with life skills in daily life and study at the center.
Part 1: Organizing belongings
After the session, students had the following skills:
- Knowing how to find and take their own mats, pillows and blankets;
- Spread out mats and blankets when it's time to nap;
- Fold their personal belongings.
To make the session interesting, the teacher counted time and scored points for the students who had the best performance.
Part 2: Personal hygiene
After the session, students had knowledge and skills:
- Knowing how to do personal hygiene;
- No sharing toothbrushes;
- Keeping toothbrush dry and clean after use.
At the end of the extracurricular session, teacher called each student to practice and gave points according to their abilities to stimulate competition in study and encouraging orderly activities at the center as well as in their families.
