Topic: Watching the Cartoon “Ratatouille”

On Friday, July 17, 2020, continued with the topic “Careers”, CED students watched the cartoon “Ratatouille”.

The cartoon told about a rat named Remy who loved cooking and dreamed of coming to Paris to become a great chef. Although his family tried to stop him, finally, Remy came to the capital of light and beginning his adventure.

Here, Remy made friends with Linguini – the son of his idol as well as the famous chef of Gusteau restaurant. Remy and Linguini became a great pair in preparing new and interesting dishes, as the evident for Gusteau’s idea: “Everyone can cook well.” Torn between dream and reality, Remy found out the true meaning of his interesting adventures, of friendship and family. The little humourous rat also found the courage to be himself: a rat who wanted to become a great chef.

“Ratatouille” is a nice cartoon, funny enough to make children “wow” joyfully, and profound enough for adults to think of. After all the comedic situations, the cartoon brought to us some silence moments to contemplate: “Everyone has dreams, everyone has their own ideals. Have courage to manifest that, no matter who you are.” The cartoon also celebrates friendship, love, family and good values, that always appear like miracles in the modern life.
