On December 10, 2020, CED was invited to join the Strategy Consultation Meeting for the Project “Win – Win for Vietnam: Promoting cooperation between enterprises and social organisations for Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development”, hold by the Institute for Research on Development Communication (RED).

On Wednesday morning December 16, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 25 primary students with hearing loss at the Vocational Training and Job Supporting Center for People with Disabilities in HCMC.
On Wednesday afternoon December 16, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 15 parents of students with hearing loss and 1 teacher at the Vocational Training and Job Supporting Center for People with Disabilities in HCMC.
On Saturday morning December 19, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 35 social workers in hospitals and social work students at Ly Nhon primary school.
On Sunday morning December 20, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 32 deaf people at HCMC Deaf Club.
On Sunday afternoon December 20, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 14 Sign Language interpreters at CED.
On December 23, 2020, CED and the Lawyer, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong – Director of Center of Legal Counseling for the Poor in HCMC, organized the legal communication workshop for 31 junior high school students with hearing loss at the Vocational Training and Job Supporting Center for People with Disabilities in HCMC.

On December 29, 2020, CED students joined the session “Learning Vietnamese by Montessori method”, with only simple tools (glue, food colors, salt), students wrote the spellings on papers, listened to teacher instructing them how to read, and practiced speaking correctly the words.

“CED’s Hearing Aid Fund Report”: CED’s Hearing Aids Fund grated 19 hearing aids for 14 children/adults with hearing loss (7 males, 8 females) who live in poor families. Among them are 10 children with hearing loss of the Dong Thap School for Students with Disabilities.

Peer Consultation/Counseling:
In December, Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) conducted 59 consultation/counseling cases on education, training, skills programs, hearing aids, jobs, consultation for parents who have dificulties in teaching children with hearing loss, sign language, etc…
