GUIDE FOR INTERNSHIP STUDENT ON SOCIAL WORK WITH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS

On June 18, 2024, Ms. Duong Phuong Hanh - Director of the Center for Research and Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (CED) received and guided a student majoring in Social Work, Ton Duc Thang University to graduation internship at the CED with the topic "Reducing stress in communication for people with hearing loss".

The tutorial includes the following contents:

- Sharing about people with hearing loss and common problems that people with hearing loss encounter in communication, that helps students have specific orientation on the topics she will practise at CED.

- Introducing reference materials related to people with hearing loss for student to research information: Handbook “Let Our Voice Resound”, Manual for supporting people with hearing loss in hospitals, Communication skills with people with hearing loss, etc.

- Connect students to interview people with hearing loss to write the typical stories.

We hope that after the meeting, with the necessary information and specific instructions, the student will have appropriate plans to develop activities for students at CED and complete any task really well in the graduation internship time.
