NEED ASSESMENT SURVEY ON MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS

 

Dear Parents,

 

Mental health is an essential aspect, determining quality of life of everyone and the peace of whole community, society. In recent years, our material life is getting better, Vietnam starts to care more about people’s mental health. People with disabilities in general and specifically people with hearing loss have higher risk in getting psychological prolems than other people. However, mental health care service for them is nearly not there.

 

Therefore, with the hope and wish to bridge the gap in mental health care service for people with hearing loss, CED is planning for a project on raising awareness and skills for coping with current common psychological problems in hearling loss community. This survey is the first step to understand the existing problems and community needs for the related service, so that we can have proper solutions.
